Update

Edward is currently doing good, they had to adjust his levels quite a bit last night but is now currently staying stable. Misty's c-section incision came open, so we now have to change and repack her dressing twice a day to keep it from getting it infected. It takes a pretty strong stomach to deal with it! Misty's mom had some fun but didn't pass out! :)

David took a break to eat lunch so this is Loyal now filling in for him.(for those of you who don't know me. I have been a friend of David and his family's for several years.)

I am not going to be filling you in on Mr. Edward as much because David has been doing pretty well with that and knows more, but I am going to try and just update you on some of the other things of life here for David and Misty and those who visit them:

Misty was up most of the night on and off with Edward as all the changes were being made so she is a bit tired today and has been having some issues with where they gave her the spinal and of course the pain from the incision. Misty's Mom has been watching over Misty and trying to make sure that she gets her rest!

David and I drove up to F.E. Warren yesterday and cleaned up the house and packed the bags for the extended stay here at Ronald's place. David and Misty's neighbors and friends from the base were more then helpful and are watching their fish and their dog Libby and finding other ways to help them!

As David and I were talking about the Ronald house and as he said "Its still not home, But its nice!" Personally I always have had this image of the Ronald McDonald houses as being an old house with lots of rooms where people are limited on space and showers. I don't know about all of them but this one is very new and is basically like a three level hotel with rooms set up very much like a nice hotel with a TV and bath. There is a community kitchen where there are often meals cooked by groups, and churches, as well as individuals and we can also prepare our own meals here as well if we like. There is a locker in the pantry and fridge and freezer space for everyone here. I am rather impressed with the facility here.

As far as Davids and Misty's needs, I know they are very grateful for your prayers for them and for Edward, He seems to be doing well but has a long ways to go. Misty will also be writing an update on what surgery's and such he is going through today. They would be grateful for prayer for the Medical staff for skilled hands and wisdom, and it would be nice for them to get emails or letters from anyone who has time as it can seem distant and alone while you are away from home. The cell phones are often busy and David spends a lot of his day trying to keep people updated and filled in.

David and Misty are off to the hospital for visit with some of the folks from base (I believe that's who is here.) and the Kitchen area is still alive from lunch with everyone coming and going from a great meal of pizza!

Well I hope that this has given you a little glimpse from an "outsiders" view into their lives.
Loyal
