First Post

Edward Andrew was born 10 Feb 09 at 2206 at University of Colorado Hospital, Weighing exactly 1 lb. and measuring 11 ¼ in. He was 24.5 weeks along which make him 16 week premature. So far baby Edward has been doing really well, he has been surprisingly stable although he still has a very long road ahead of him. We have started the blog so that people will be able to get updates, pictures, and prayer requests. More updates and photos are forth coming. Please feel free to share this blog with anyone willing to keep baby Edward, misty, and Me in prayer.




Current Prayer requests


  • Edward is scheduled for surgery 7:30 Saturday morning to close a fetal valve near his heart. The valve is essential in the womb, allowing blood to enter the baby heart through the Umbilical cord, and it normally closes off for full-term babies. The 30-minute surgery is common for preemie's, and should normally poses no unusual hazard. The doctors are hoping that the procedure will relieve the extra burden that is now on his heart and will stabilize his blood pressure. The main concern is his recovery and any infection that might accrue after to the surgery.

  • That God would bless the hands of the doctors and nurses that will be and have been working with Edward.

  • Misty continued healthy recovery from her C-section.

  • Misty's and mine strength is this time of testing circumstances.

    Dearest David and Misty,
    I am your cousin, Patti. Your Grandmother and my dad are brother and sister. I am so sorry to hear about Edward but your faith is so beauatiful and we all know that OUR GOD CAN DO ANYTHING. He is beautiful and appears to be a real fighter. This is extremely encouraging. Keep the faith and remember, we are all praying for the family, the doctors, the nurses and anyone else involved in the care of this precious GIFT FROM GOD.
