Doing pretty Good

Well hello everyone daddy here, Edward is doing really good overall, his is still bouncing around on his o2 Saturation but that pretty normal. he also randomly braided today (when both his heart rate and o2 Saturation drop dramatically) which sometimes happens when they are moving his ventilator tube. but beyond those two things everything good. He now weighs 1lb 15 oz. almost 2 lb. which is really exciting he has almost doubled in weight. tonight mom also got to hold him for over an hour, which she really enjoyed. It is really cool when mommy holds him he looks so peaceful and his O2 saturation stays stable. Well it looks like we are going make a trip home tomorrow to take care of some paperwork. thank you to all of you who prayed and are praying for Edward. He is doing much better. They are giving him more hydrocortizon and that has helped his electrolytes and his head xray came back OK there was no bleeding but there was some fluid which they attribute to him growing. so now we are just waiting on the hyrocortizon to work a little more and for little E to feel a little better. on a happy note Edward and mommy got some quality time together..I got to hold him for about 45 minutes which really made my day. well that's about it for tonight more tomorrow.

so as you know Edward has been acting "suspicious" well they did some blood work and It came back that his electrolytes where off so they did an EKG because they thought something might be wrong with his electrical system of his heart. well that came back OK and now they think it may be his kidneys because they think they might have weened him off the hydrocortizon too quickly. They are also doing a head x-ray because his head felt different and they measured it and it was bigger. so please pray for Edward because he has alot going on and we still don't know exactly what is wrong.

Update March 15

I feel really bad, every time I update that really isn't a lot to report and no pictures to upload. Mommy steals and upload all of the really good pictures. So I apologize. Edward over all is doing ok now that he got his blood transfusion. We are still waiting to hear back on the cultures to see if he has an infection starting but for now he is in the clear. His O2 saturation is still bouncing around a lot and he has lost a little weight. The Doctors are extremely worry about a small drop in this weight due to the fact that he just finish up on a round of lasix which dried him up a little bit. Well that's it for now we will have more for you tomorrow and hopefully some more photos as well. Thank you all

So Edward had a pretty crappy day today. It started out OK. at his 1 o'clock cares he was doing OK He was holding my finger and every time I took it away he would desat so I ended up standing there holding his hand for an hour. i guess he just wanted his mommy. he was still OK at 5 except that he kept majorly desating. so when we returned to the hospital at 7:30 they were trying to start an iv because he was acting suspicious and they found out he needed another blood transfusion (that makes 6) they also had to re tape his tube because they did an xray and found out that he was almost extabated. they are also doing cultures and taking a urine sample to find out if something else is wrong. so please keep little E in your prayers I have some pictures to post but I'm going to wait until morning because I'm pretty wiped out. good night all.

Update

Well hello everyone it is daddy's turn to update again. Well not a whole lot to report again, Edward did have a little rough of a day with his O2 saturation again. They had to readjust his ventilator tube today it had slipped out a little bit. It also looks like his lungs are again a little wetter then they would like, so they are going to give him more Lasics (i don't know if that is the proper spelling) which will help dry up his lungs. hopefully once his lungs are a little dryer and now that his tube has been readjusted he should have a few really good days.

In other news, we still have had no luck on Misty phone. We thought that someone was trying to sell it on Craigslist but it wasn't her phone. but we still have one lead so we will have to see. hopefully we will still be able to get it back. It also looks like that quarantine of the Ronald McDonald House is going to end Sunday night so the kitchens will be open again and most of our diners will be provided again. Which will be really nice and save us a lot of money since we won't have to eat out as much. Well that about it for tonight. Thank you all again for all of you thoughts and prayers.
